CURRENT PROJECTS:
My current work looks at the sociology of water; food and land management in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia and surrounding areas. I look at the ways in which contemporary agricultural science and technologies are situated in global structures of political and economic power. Particularly, I am interested in investigating the neoliberal shift of agriculture practices in Ethiopia and its effects in the local context.
