Community-Engaged Teaching and Learning in Action Conference at UConn Hartford

On November 21, 2025, several UConn sociologists attended the Community-Engaged Teaching and Learning in Action: Building Solidarity in Challenging Times conference in the beautiful new UConn Hartford campus People’s Bank Arena event space

Produced by UConn Hartford; the Research on Resilient Cities, Racism and Equity initiative directed by David Embrick; the UConn Office of Outreach and Engagement; the UConn Office for Inclusion and Civil Rights; and the Trinity College Center for Hartford Engagement and Research; the day-long conference brought together faculty, staff, and students from greater Hartford area colleges and universities to participate in workshops around community-engaged teaching, learning, and research. The keynote speaker was sociologist, Dr. Corey Dolgon from Stonehill College.
