RESEARCH INTERESTS:

I work at the intersection of Gender, Health, Migration, and Critical Caste Studies, predominantly in the South Asian Context. My current research includes the study of health care delivery and people’s caste identity in India. In conjunction with this, I am actively involved in research that is focused on how environmental migration affects women asymmetrically in South Asia.

I am an organizer for a Dalit Studies reading group at UConn that meets every fall. 

I also take an active interest in cinema, music, chess, sports and reading books. I also love traveling and hiking.
