RESEARCH INTERESTS
My primary research interests are the relationships between space, place, mobility, surveillance and social cohesion/isolation. In my graduate research, I hope to examine the ways in which built environments are ordered and monitored to foster or disrupt socialization and group cohesion through qualitative research informed by Marxist and poststructural theoretical perspectives. My other research interests include the sociology of health and wellness, armed conflict and workplace governance.
