Michael Mulcahy

Biographical Statement :
Michael Mulcahy joined the Sociology Department of the University of Connecticut in 2004, after completing his Ph.D. in Sociology at the University of Arizona. His dissertation, "Regulating Labor: The Formation and Effects of a World Labor Regime in the Twentieth Century", examines the formation and effects of a global institutions regulating the commodification and exploitation of labor. He does comparative-historical and quantitative research in the areas of political economy, labor movements and other social movements, political sociology, organizations and stratification. He teaches at the University of Connecticut's Stamford Campus.
